FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle illumination systems. Lighting system for a door opening of a vehicle comprises a seal, a light source, a first photoluminescent structure and a reflecting material. Sealant is located partially around periphery of opening in vehicle body. Light source is located on the seal section between the body panel and the sealing element contacting with the door. Photoluminescent structure is configured to luminesce in response to excitation by the light source. Reflecting material is located on the inner surface of the element in contact with the door and is configured to direct light onto the body panel.
EFFECT: higher quality of lighting.
