FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a concentrated fire extinguishing foam containing a first surfactant which contains a carboxyl group, as well as an oligosilane link and/or an oligosiloxane link and an alkyl glycoside or an alkyl polyglycoside. Invention further relates to a method of extinguishing fires, comprising steps of using concentrated extinguishing foam; adding concentrated fire extinguishing foam to water in order to obtain a mixture and bringing the mixture into contact with the location of the fire; wherein concentrated extinguishing foam is concentrated fire extinguishing foam according to the invention. An additional object of the invention is the use of a surfactant as an additive to fire extinguishing foams and/or concentrated extinguishing foams.
EFFECT: invention provides resistance to hydrolysis of a surfactant and improves flow of the film over the surface.
