FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic industry and can be used in making glass-ceramic articles by water-slurry casting into porous molds. Method of producing a high-density aqueous slurry based on lithium aluminosilicate glass involves loading into a mill a starting material in form of a glass granulate or process wastes for making articles and grinding bodies at ratio of 1:(3–4), introduction in one pass of design amount of water, wet grinding and stabilization of slurry by mechanical stirring with subsequent addition of HCl or NH4Cl, prior to loading of the initial raw material, a fraction passing through the sieve with the cell side of 1.2 mm, or 1.4 mm, or 1.6 mm is removed from it, and the acid is added in amount of 0.1 ml per 1 l of the stabilized slurry, based on calculation reducing the slurry pH value by 0.1, wherein acid is mixed with same volume of distilled water before introduction into the slurry and uniformly poured on the surface of the slurry.

EFFECT: high efficiency when preparing high-density aqueous slurries of lithium aluminosilicate glass in ball mills and low level of process rejection when making ceramic articles from said slurries.
