FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: automatic weapons locking mechanism comprises barrel receiver with barrel, locking lugs in form of locking key installed on barrel, breechblock. Locking lugs of the breechblock interact with locking keys, which are made with possibility of interaction with barrel receiver, breechblock and breechblock frame and are limited movable. Projections or slots of locking keys interact with curvilinear slots or ledges of automatic weapon body. On barrel receiver is installed self-release hammer lever with possibility of limited rotation and interaction by one end with breechblock, and by another – with automatic weapon body. Body of the automatic weapon has a sear, made with possibility of interaction with the breechblock and holding it in the position of the diluted locking keys until separation of the sear with the barrel receiver.

EFFECT: improved operational characteristics, increased reliability of breechblock locking, reduced dimensions and weight of the locking mechanism, simplified manufacture of the locking mechanism.
