METHOD OF MEASURING MEMORABILITY OF A MULTIMEDIA MESSAGE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/16 A61B5/408

Abstract RU 2708197 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to methods for measuring memorability of a multimedia message. Disclosed is a method comprising using system 10–20 and with reference electrodes mounted on auricle or user mastoids, electrodes arranged at points C3, C4, T3, T4, P3 and F4 determined according to international arrangement of electrodes of 10–20 % are installed on user's head. Cerebral activity indices are recorded when a multimedia message is presented to the user; the registration results are used to determine the values: entropy of lead (E) for electrode C3; first coherence of leads (K1) equal to coherence of leads for electrodes T3 and T4 in range of 30–45 Hz; second coherence of leads (K2) equal to coherence value of leads for electrodes C4 and T4 in range of 4–8 Hz; third coherence of leads (K3) equal to coherence of leads for electrodes P3 and F4 in range of 8–13 Hz; memorability weighting factor (FME) for output entropy is set. First, second and third weighting factors FM1, FM2 and FM3, respectively, for first, second and third output entropies, and determining memorability (MM) of the multimedia message by calculating the sum of products KE*E, FM1*K1, FM2*K2 and FM3*K3 for E, K1, K2 and K3, determined for the multimedia message.

EFFECT: invention reduces labor costs associated with determining the effect of multimedia messages on users, as well as the possibility of implementing an objective universal quantitative assessment of memorability.
