FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention discloses a method of using a derivative of sarcosic acid, an aspartic acid derivative or a diethanolamine derivative or a mixture thereof for adsorption inhibition α-olefin present in the lubricant composition on the metal surface, when the lubricating composition contains as base oil any of oils from group III, group IV and polyisobutylenes, assigned to group V according to classification of base oils by API, or mixture thereof, and α-olefin, present in amount of 1 wt. % or less relative to total weight of composition, where sarcosic acid derivative is described by following formula (1), where functional group R1 denotes alkyl C16-20; where the aspartic acid derivative is described by following formula (2), where the R2 and R3 denote hydrogen or the same or different alkyl C3-6, alkenyl or hydroxyalkyl; functional group R4 denotes alkyl C1-30 or alkenyl, alkyl C1-30, having an ether bond, or hydroxyalkyl; and functional group R5 denotes a saturated or unsaturated group C1-30 carboxylic acid, or alkyl C1-30, alkenyl, or hydroxyalkyl; and where the diethanolamine derivative is described by following formula (3), where the functional group R6 denotes alkyl C16-20; and wherein amount of added sarcosic acid derivative or diethanolamine derivative ranges from 0.001 to 3 wt. % relative to total amount of composition, or amount of added aspartic acid derivative ranges from 0.005 to 3 wt. % relative to total amount of composition.
EFFECT: disclosed is a lubricant composition which inhibits adsorption of alpha-olefin, an adsorption inhibition method and an adsorption inhibitor.
