FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composition of lubricating oil, which includes basic oil in quantity more than 85 weight parts per 100 weight parts of lubricating composition and one or several corrosion inhibitors, based on alkylethercarboxylic acids, which have formula, given below, , in which R stands for C6-C18 alkyl group with linear of branched chain and n stands for number from 0 to 5. Said lubricating oil composition contains less than 1 wt % of water; said lubricating oil composition contains from 0.01 to less than 0.1 wt % of one or several corrosion inhibitors based on alkylethercarboxylic acids, and said lubricating oil composition additionally contains antioxidant. Invention also relates to method of reducing corrosion of product, made of steel, with said method including stages: A) preparation of basic oil; B) preparation of one or several corrosion inhibitors based on alkylethercarboxylic acids, which have formula given below, in which R stands for C6-C18 alkyl group with linear of branched chain and n stands for number from 0 to 5; C) combination of basic oil, one or several corrosion inhibitors based on alkylethercarboxylic acids and antioxidant with obtaining lubricating oil composition, containing from 0.01 to less than approximately 0.1 wt % of one or several corrosion inhibitors based on alkylethercarboxylic acids and less than 1 wt % of water; and D) application of lubricating oil composition on steel product, where said steel product is subjected to test of corrosion resistance in accordance with ASTM D 665 B method and where basic oil is present in amount more than 85 weight parts per 100 weight parts of lubrication composition.

EFFECT: compositions are effective in low concentrations and possess excellent ability to de-emulsification and ability to combine with calcium in different compositions of lubricating oils.
