FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to robotics and is intended to provide positioning of modular structures relative to each other at connection stage. Magnetic-mechanical device for connection of modular structures consists of active part including two steel semi-cones, permanent magnet, electromagnet of control, and passive part. In addition there is magnetic conductor-base made in form of disc with cutout in central part providing for specified section of opening in magnetic conductor. Semi-spherical semi-cones have conical projections on the entire upper end part for self-centering of the magnetic-mechanical device. On the inner side of the semi-cones in the center there is a recess-slot for installation of a permanent magnet between the semi-cones and closing of the magnetic flux. On the lower face of the inner side of each semi-cone there is a chamfer at angle of 45° for their isolation from control electromagnet coil. Passive part, which is a ring, has a conical recess on the entire lower end part for self-centering of the magnetic-mechanical device.
EFFECT: improving connection quality.
