FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heaters for a vehicle. For operation of fuel-operated vehicle heater, heater (10) includes burner zone (12) with combustion chamber (14), fuel pump (24) for supply of fuel into combustion chamber (14) and air blower (28) for its supply to combustion chamber (14). In air blower (28) for downstream combustion there installed is pressure sensor (38) for registration of supply counter pressure, further containing device (36) for control of fuel pump (24). Fuel pump (24) is operated with preset value of pump operating parameter and for control of air blower (28) for combustion. Air blower (28) for combustion is operated with the specified value of the operating parameter of the air blower, in which in compliance with the operational conditions of supply, which are determined by operational parameters of pump and air blower, and reference fuel generates information on respectively expected counter pressure supply. When supply operational state is set in combustion mode, supply counter pressure is detected, registered counter pressure (Pe) of supply is compared with counter pressure (PE) of supply expected for established operational state. In case of detected counter-pressure (Pe) of supply deviation from expected counter pressure (PE) of supply change operating parameter of pump so, that feed counter pressure varies in direction of expected counter pressure (PE) of supply and / or basically corresponds to expected counter pressure (PE) of supply.
EFFECT: required heat capacity is achieved for the required operation of the heater.
