SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser and fibre engineering. Fibre-optic amplifier comprises an optical multiplexer and optical fibre optically connected to the optical multiplexer, wherein selective reflectors of first and second wavelengths are formed on optical fibre, wherein selective reflector of first wavelength is configured to reflect radiation with first wavelength, and selective reflector of second wavelength is configured to reflect radiation with second wavelength, which is greater than first wavelength. At that, the first and second wavelengths are selected so that Raman scattering and amplification in the transmitting fibre convert primary pumping radiation with primary pumping wavelength which is less than the first wavelength to radiation with a first wavelength, as well as converting radiation with a first wavelength into radiation with a second wavelength.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the power of the output radiation.
