SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military applications, namely to methods of using artillery in conditions of local wars and military conflicts. To use artillery, zones of solid fire action are created along the designated boundaries in the safety zone of the settlement. Prior to that, the installation for firing at sighting points is introduced into electronic computer (1) in advance through initial data input unit (2). Firing installations calculated on computer unit (3) and displayed on information output screen (4) are transmitted through communication unit (5) via means of communication to automated fire control system and guidance of command vehicles, which perform required fire task. Movable zone of fire acts on a permanent basis and the firing installations are determined in advance, and the fire action is carried out along the whole zone selectively or sequentially in directions established depending on the unfolding situation.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of artillery fire, reduced time of fire impact and ammunition consumption, while maintaining safety of settlements from disturbing actions of subversive groups of enemy and their fire units.
