FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and can be used to control cooling of cutting tools when processing articles on CNC equipment. Method includes recalculation by means of the fuzzy voltage controller supplied to the gate of the field-effect transistor for control of the Peltier thermoelement during article processing. Voltage of the Peltier element received from the voltage sensor is fed to the inputs of the fuzzy controller and the temperature difference at the output of the difference and temperature unit in the cutting zone obtained from the temperature sensor. If the measured values of voltage and temperature do not match with the specified values, the cutting tool cooling intensity is controlled by increasing or decreasing the voltage supplied to the gate of the field transistor with determination of its value using nine fuzzy control rules.

EFFECT: use of the invention improves accuracy of cooling control of the cutting tool and increases period of its durability.
