FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle illumination systems. Illumination device for a vehicle comprises a light source and a controller. Light source is located close to the guard carcass edge outside the guard seal so that light emission from the light source is projected through the gap between the enclosure carcass and body in response to arrangement of guard frame in partially closed arrangement forming gap. Partially closed arrangement corresponds to the enclosure frame partially contacting with the vehicle body. Controller is in communication with the light source and is configured to adjust one of the intensity and frequency of the light emitted from the light source in response to the key fob distance exceeding the threshold value.
EFFECT: possibility of notifying a vehicle driver on the state of a vehicle, such as a slightly open door state.
