FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to virology, and dentistry, and experimental pharmacology, and can be used for simulating experimental recurrent herpetic stomatitis. Method comprises dosed introduction of type 1 herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) into mice. 0.2 ml of hydrocortisone is introduced in experimental animals 2 hours prior to infection. Herpes-viral suspension is administered intraperitoneally twice for 3 weeks in dose of 1LD50. 21 days after the primary infection, the mice are re-infected by scarifying an oral mucosa and applying 30 mcl of a HSV-1 suspension in dose of 1LD50.
EFFECT: method provides higher reproducibility and approximating the model of experimental recurrent herpetic stomatitis to the clinical course of the given pathology in a human patient by dosed introduction to laboratory mice for a given time of the HSV-1 suspension performed with a background of immunodepression caused by administering hydrocortisone.
