FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. In compliance with first version, automotive rack-and-pinion steering mechanism with variable gear ratio comprises two drive gears and two driven rack sectors. Driving gears are rigidly fixed on steering shaft. Rack sectors are rigidly fixed to each other and kinematically connected to controlled wheels. Second gear is symmetrically non-round. Simultaneous pairwise interaction of all gears and rack sectors is carried out on ranges with matching gear ratios. In compliance with second version, automobile rack-and-pinion steering mechanism comprises second gear smaller and fitted with eccentricity. According to the third version, the automotive rack-and-pinion steering mechanism contains a drive gear made symmetrically non-round. According to the fourth version, the automotive rack-and-pinion steering mechanism comprises a round gear fitted on the steering shaft with eccentricity.
EFFECT: reduced number of parts and higher kinematic accuracy rack-and-pinion steering mechanism.
