SUBSTANCE: in general, the present invention relates to compositions and methods for removing liquid containing crude oil or natural gas from wells, boreholes and pipelines during oil and gas production and transportation. Method of fluid removal from gas or oil well, well shaft or pipeline includes: introducing the composition into a gas well, an oil well, a well shaft or a pipeline in an amount effective for foaming fluid in the well, a borehole or a pipeline, for removing liquid from the well or pipeline; said liquid contains a hydrocarbon, water or a combination thereof, and said composition contains alcohol ether sulphonate of formula I, where: R1 is a saturated monovalent hydrocarbon radical containing from one to twenty carbon atoms; R2 is a saturated divalent hydrocarbon radical containing from one to twenty carbon atoms; R3 and R4, each independently represent ethylene or propylene; R5 is hydroxyl, and R6 is -SO3M, or R5 is -SO3M, and R6 is hydroxyl; M independently represents an alkali metal, an alkali-earth metal or hydronium; and a and b, each independently represent integer from 0 to 30, and a + b equals 1 to 60; and pumping gas into well, well shaft or pipeline.

EFFECT: technical result is providing excellent characteristics of pumping hydrocarbons, water or mixtures thereof from wells and transport pipelines.
