FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of compositions with high ignition temperatures and low vapor pressures to inject inside and coat gas and oil wells and surrounding hydrocarbon-containing productive formations in order to remove scales, paraffins, tar, and other viscous constituents. Composition contains about 40 to 99 wt % of fatty acid alkyl esters and about 1 to 25 wt % of at least one ester of fatty acid with lower alkyl glycol ether. Cleaning is effected by injecting above composition into well, productive formation, or equipment. Removal of excessive water, sediments, or both from produced crude oil is achieved by adding this composition to crude oil. Hydraulic breakdown envisages injecting composition with granulated material (sand) into productive formation under pressure. EFFECT: increased gas and/or oil flow and decreased adhesion of impurities and scale in all oil and gas production objects such as hydrocarbon-containing productive formations, casing tubes, pipelines, and pumping means. 34 cl, 4 ex
