FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, in particular to nondestructive methods of control of well pipes. Sample comprises a body of a controlled material containing an artificial defect. Body is made in the form of a pipe with artificial defects, made in the form of a rectangular profile parallel to the pipe axis, with width of 0.6±0.1 mm, depth of 1–2 mm and length, successively increasing from one end to another, from 50 to 1,000 mm with pitch of 50–200 mm. Number of identical artificial defects and their maximum length and increase pitch are selected empirically based on length, diameter and thickness of the wall of the analyzed pipe.
EFFECT: possibility of selection of calibrated instruments of pipes used in operation with preservation of their operational properties in selected specimens.
