FIELD: biometric authentication.

SUBSTANCE: computer-implemented biometric authentication method comprises steps of: receiving a user face area image; image processing to define eye area of image; setting a plurality of eye areas surrounding an image, specifying a specific eye area of the image comprises: calculating the height and width of the region by multiplying the height of the eye area of the image, including the scleral one, by the first numerical coefficient and multiplying the width of the eye area of the image, including the scleral area, by the second numerical coefficient; setting the height of the specific eye area of the image equal to the calculated height of the region; and setting the width of the specific eye area of the image equal to the calculated width of the region; calculating one or more biometric estimates of the match based on the eye area of the image and at least one of the areas surrounding the eyes and indicating the face image as genuine or not genuine based on one or more biometric match estimates.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of biometric system accuracy.
