SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image recognition. Method includes determining original two-dimensional image of human face, comparing two-dimensional image of a human face with a two-dimensional image of primary database; determining degree of similarity Q between original image and image in main database, comparing original two-dimensional human face images from a plurality of two-dimensional images stored in an additional database of images, each image of face of supplementary image database determines degree of similarity Q(i) with original two-dimensional image of a human face, where i is number of database images more images of original image to threshold value T is determined based on calculated values of degree of similarity Q(i) of images; and based on obtained values of degree of similarity Q between and threshold value T is notified that person in original image and person in image of primary database or belong or do not belong to one person.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of determining compared images.
