SUBSTANCE: method for biometric recognition of the user's iris is proposed. The method comprises the step of obtaining a sequence of images, obtaining an image of the eye from the sequence. Further, according to the method, a collection of n images of the eye is collected by the steps of: discarding images of an eye of inadequate quality; determining the value of the image quality of the eye for each of the eye images remaining after discarding. Next, a set of n eye images is assembled by replacing one or more eye images having a lower image quality value to one or more eye images having a higher image quality value of the eye.

EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of technical means for biometric recognition of the user's iris.
