FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely to methods of soil testing and determination of soil mechanical properties by static sounding during engineering-geological survey. Method comprises performing periodic immersion with stops of the probe in the soil mass and measuring soil resistance by introducing the probe in time. When the probe is stopped, soil pressure is measured on the side surface of the probe, on sections of the probe with different radial deformations of the soil to determine the modulus of deformation and the coefficient of lateral pressure of the soil at rest.
EFFECT: possibility of determination of deformation modulus and coefficient of lateral soil pressure in rest by static probing in field conditions, reduced duration and labor intensity of testing.
