SUBSTANCE: device for power supply of a tethered aircraft comprises an electric power source and a ground-based converter placed on a ground object, an on-board converter and a backup accumulator battery, a rope cable, placed onboard the aircraft. Ground-based converter has a conversion unit, a power control module, a current sensor, a controller, a pulse-width modulator, a control and display panel. Onboard converter has an isolated conversion module and an electronic power switch.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of power transfer from the ground to the board, reduced dimensions and weight of the on-board converter, increased level of safety and reliability.
