SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making an aerosol delivery device and an aerosol delivery device. Disclosed is a storage compartment for an aerosol providing article, wherein the aerosol providing article is configured, when used, to generate an aerosol stream, storage section is made with possibility of arrangement in it of element for change of aerosol property passing through specified element, when used located in storage section, storage section is configured to be in the first configuration and the other, second configuration, the first configuration determines the flow path for the passage of said aerosol through the storage compartment through said element, which in use is located in storage section, and second configuration allows inserting said element into storage section and / or extract said item from storage section, wherein storage section comprises first part and second part, which is movable relative to first part, wherein movement of second part relative to first part changes configuration of storage section between first configuration and second configuration; and displacement includes movement, which is substantially parallel to longitudinal axis of storage section.
EFFECT: improved method of making an aerosol delivery device.
