FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of materials using optical means and computers combined with other machines, involving computer processing of results. Method is carried out by sampling aerosol on fixing indicator substrates, recording aerosol particles with subsequent statistical processing results using a computer-aided video processing system. At the same time flow of drops of sprayed oil is deposited on surface-active substance (SAS) placed in flat dish like Petri dish, and as surfactant there used is detergent consisting of 5–15 % of anionic surfactants.

EFFECT: simplified process and increased accuracy of measurement of sizes of individual particles.
