DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE OF COGNITIVE DISORDERS IN VIBRATION DISEASE ASSOCIATED WITH LOCAL VIBRATION EXPOSURE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2712073 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurology, neuropsychology and occupational pathology, and can be used to detect signs of chronic occupational exposure to local vibration on workers' body. Neuropsychological examination of the state of higher mental functions is performed, and the following indicators are determined: scores of long-term memory according to "10 words" test; spatial praxis index by Head's sample; impressive speech parameter by explanation of logical-grammatical structures; indicator of conceptual thinking on selection of opposites in passive plane; indicator of categorical thinking by elimination of 4th excess in special drawing tests; visual gnosis coefficient by finger gnosis; expressive speech by "repeated speech" test; indicator of analytic-synthetic thinking by test for arithmetic account. Discriminant function F is then calculated, and the obtained result is compared to a constant: if F is more than a constant, the patient is diagnosed with signs of cognitive disorders associated with occupational exposure to local vibration, while F is less than or equal to a constant – no signs of cognitive disorders associated with exposure to local vibration in the workplace.

EFFECT: method provides more effective diagnosis of cognitive disorders, reduced volume of paraclinical studies, time and material costs by using the minimum number of the most informative diagnostic indicators.
