FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to three-way catalysts for purifying exhaust gas, which purifies exhaust gas emitted by an internal combustion engine. Disclosed synthesis technology enables to obtain mesoporous powders in a CeO2(ZrO2)-Al2O3 system with area of specific surface area at 1,000 °C 90–105 m2/g, pore volume of ~0.380 cm3/g and their narrow distribution on sizes of 3–10 and 2.5–7 nm.
EFFECT: application of active phase (metals Pt, Re) to these powders when using them as catalyst supports will ensure their fine dispersion due to developed pore structure and will enhance potential capabilities of catalytic system as a whole.
