FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of disperse mesoporous materials for catalyst supports. Described is a method of producing mesoporous γ-Al2O3 for catalytic systems, involving precipitation of hydroxides. Initial reagent used is Al(NO3)3⋅9H2O, from which is prepared diluted aqueous solution with concentration of ~0.2 M. Aluminum hydroxide is precipitated by pouring solution NH4OH (~1 M) at rate of 1–2 ml/min into the aluminum nitrate solution while continuously stirring. Reaction vessel is kept at pH 9.0–9.5. To prevent dissolution of formed Al(OH)3, NH4Cl solution is used. Then, the aluminum hydroxide precipitate is cryochemical treated in a freezing chamber at -25 °C for 24 hours. Obtained xerogel is subjected to sublimation drying at 25°C and pressure of 30 Pa. Further, obtained powder precursor AlOOH is exposed to thermal decomposition at 600 °C for 1 hour.
EFFECT: obtaining finely dispersed mesoporous powder γ-Al2O3, which has a unimodal distribution of pores by size and has a large volume of slot-like pores.
