OBTAINING PEROXYFORMIC ACID USING POLYHYDRIC ALCOHOL FORMATE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61L2/18 A61K9/08 C07C409/24 C07C327/26 C07C407/00

Abstract RU 2712171 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to disinfectology and sanitation and is intended for processing a target object, including skin. Reagent composition for reaction for producing peroxyformic acid contains a first reagent which contains an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and peroxyformic acid; and a second reagent which contains hydrogen peroxide, or which contains a substance which forms hydrogen peroxide upon contact with the liquid. Said first reagent and said second reagent, when it is desired to obtain peroxyformic acid, are assembled such that in contact with each other forms a liquid which contains peroxyformic acid and has pH below 11, and pH of produced liquid becomes 8 or lower for 1 minute after contacting said first reagent and said second reagent. Alternatively, said second reagent contains a substance which forms hydrogen peroxide upon contact with the liquid, said first reagent and said second reagent are contained in the solid composition, and when it is necessary to obtain a peroxyformic acid, said solid composition is configured such that, upon contact with liquid, a liquid is formed which contains peroxyformic acid and has pH lower than 11, and the pH of the produced liquid becomes 8 or lower for 1 minute after contacting said solid composition with said liquid. Also provided are a method of producing peroxyformic acid, a method of treating a target object, a method for treating a biofilm, a method for disinfecting the skin surface, a method of treating animals’ dugs and a composition for skin disinfection, each of which includes said composition for reacting to obtain peroxyformic acid.

EFFECT: use of group of inventions enables to obtain peroxyformic acid with high conversion rate in situ.
