FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: when using a vertical multi-tubular heat exchanger, which includes a tubular body, an upper tubular plate and a lower tubular plate, respectively located on the upper end side and the lower end side of the tubular body, a plurality of heat exchange tubes installed vertically between the upper tube plate and the lower tube plate, and covers, respectively located on the upper side of the upper tube plate and on the lower side of the lower tube plate, and in which the distillation gas introduced into the receiving chamber formed by the upper tube plate and the cover, cooled during passage through heat exchange tube and converted into condensate, solution containing polymerisation inhibitor is introduced into receiving chamber. Some of several heat exchange tubes have upper end projecting above upper tube plate, wherein other pipes do not protrude, and solution containing polymerisation inhibitor in contact with distillation gas in receiving chamber forms fluid flow layer with preset thickness of fluid layer on top tube plate.
EFFECT: invention relates to a method of producing (meth)acrylic acid or its ester.
