FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of solar battery (SB) of spacecraft (SC). Method includes measurement of current SB at preset parameters of orbit and angular position SB and SC and comparison of values of current SB measured at present and previous stages of flight. Current value SB is measured and predicted on coil light part by SB and SC angular position parameters at interval from present moment of time to light part termination moment. Present charge level of accumulator battery (AB) is measured and compared with preset fixed value. In case of their coincidence, present consumption of electric energy by onboard equipment is increased by a value determined from the condition of full charge level AB at the end moment of light part of turn – at less than full level of AB charge at interval from present moment to moment of coil light part termination.
EFFECT: technical result consists in measurement of total current SB in session of its efficiency by elimination of uncontrolled current losses SB, affecting telemetric data.
