FIELD: testing technology; weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aeroballistic research and can be used in development of various samples of small and artillery weapons in order to determine their aerodynamic characteristics. Proposed technical solution consists in the fact that as a contact sensor which fixes the moment of flight (by a projected object) of a certain cross-section of the route by a model (a projectile), a target is used, consisting of two sheets of electroconductive material isolated from each other by a dielectric layer, to which high voltage is applied, and recording device fixes moment of current passage at occurrence of high-voltage breakdown between sheets at moment of mechanical penetration of one of sheets of target and dielectric.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and accuracy of fixation of moment of passage of model of specified section of measuring route by model and use of models made from different materials regardless of their electroconductive properties.
