FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, more specifically to sliding doors. Disclosed is sliding and braking device (10) for sliding doors locking and unlocking two adjacent rooms. Device (10) comprises profile (12) made of metal or other suitable material, having a substantially C-shaped cross-section with lower horizontal part (22), fixed by screws or equivalent means to inner surface of door (14) for its movement and conformity of the guide in the form of an inverted U for one or more wheels (20), at least one bracket attached to the wall, above the through opening between the above rooms. Said device additionally comprises two shock-absorbing retainers (24), each of which comprises piston and cylindrical helical spring matched to each other, and rotary valve (38). Above two shock-absorbing stoppers (24) are opposite and fixed along lower part (22) of profile (12) not aligned with each other. Rotary gate valve (38) equipped with retainers (24) is connected to end face (56) or (58) protruding from bracket and forming an activator.
EFFECT: more efficient and smooth braking of the door at opening and closing, providing high level of durability and reliability, as well as simple and economical manufacture.
