FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear physics and can be used in systems for identification of nuclear explosions based on measured and matched parameters of geophysical and thermal fields. Disclosed is a method for identifying a camouflage nuclear explosion, which is secretly carried out, which involves measuring the temperature of a day surface in an epicenter region, separation of zone and configuration of thermal anomalies and simultaneous geophysical seismic profiling along day surface. According to seismic profiling results, a zone with longitudinal velocity higher than the background speed is selected, and by coincidence of coordinates and geometrical dimensions of thermal and geophysical anomalies, it is judged on fact of stealthily carried out camouflet nuclear explosion. If there is no zone of geophysical anomalies, a false thermal anomaly not associated with conducting a camouflage nuclear explosion is determined, and a decision is made for the area of LI. To increase reliability of thermal anomalies identification, temperature measurements are carried out at maximum contrast.
EFFECT: high reliability and validity of identifying stealthily carried out camouflet nuclear explosion.
