FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of identification and evaluation of thermonuclear safety of covert camouflage nuclear explosion. Post-explosion field parameters are measured and a judgment on the explosion is formed, wherein in the central zone of the doubtful phenomenon the wells are drilled into the cavity or from the explosion cavity, parameters of radiation fields and temperature along the well length are measured. Further, presence of extremums in parameters of radiation fields and temperature is detected, and by coincidence of coordinates of these extremums, the fact of nuclear testing is determined. In the presence of two extrema in the parameters of radiation fields and temperature, thermonuclear explosion is determined, and the ratio of amplitudes of radiation and thermal field parameters is used to estimate the thermonuclear explosion factor. Parameters of radiation fields and temperature are measured in the time interval either once or repeatedly, calculation of intensity drop of parameters of radiation fields and temperature, comparison of patterns of intensity drop of parameters of radiation fields and temperature, comparison with half-lives of chemical elements of minerals of enclosing rocks and by their coincidence confirms the fact of concealed nuclear or thermonuclear explosion.
EFFECT: possibility of identification and evaluation of thermonuclear safety of covert camouflage nuclear explosion.
