FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of properties of materials using calorimetric measurements in bomb calorimeters and can be used to determine combustion heat of combustible gases. Disclosed is a variable-temperature bomb calorimeter for determining specific volumetric combustion heat of a combustible gas, comprising a calorimetric shell, a calorimetric vessel mounted therein, a liquid filled with a stirred mixer and a thermometer immersed therein, and calorimetric bomb with crucible installed inside calorimetric vessel for arrangement of charge of benzoic acid at calorimeter calibration, fixture of crucible attachment and contacts of ignition circuit. In the disclosed calorimeter between the surface of the calorimetric bomb and the inner surface of the calorimetric vessel, additional walls are formed, creating a continuous stream of an agitated fluid, which washes the inner surface of the calorimetric vessel and the surface of the calorimetric bomb. Thermometer is arranged in said continuous liquid flow flowing between inner surface of calorimetric vessel and additional walls. Crucible is made in the form of a foil cup, the fixture thereof is a thin wire which is not a current lead. Firing wire with a cotton thread attached to it and in contact with a suspension of benzoic acid in the crucible is attached directly to contacts of the ignition circuit.

EFFECT: increase in the measurements accuracy.
