SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of isolating behind-the-casing flows in a well. Method for isolation of behind-the-casing flows in well includes drilling of deposit with wells crossing formation consisting of water-saturated and oil-saturated zones, study of oil-saturated zones of formation and intervals of their occurrence, lowering and securing the casing string with subsequent perforation of the formation in the oil-saturated zone of the formation, cutting the section of the casing string, expanding the wellbore in the cut-out section of the casing string, assembly of the assembly consisting of a pipe string with a water-swellable packer of length equal to the length of the cut section of the casing string, installation of the water-oil-swelling packer opposite the cut section of the casing string with its subsequent isolation with a packer after process maintenance. Geophysical investigations are used to determine, above or below oil-saturated zone, behind-the-casing flows. Cutoff of casing string section is performed in interval of overflows. Assembly of pipe string and water-free-flowing swelling packer is equipped with an additional packer installed inside the casing string with cutoff of oil-saturated zone. Perforated branch pipe is arranged between packers. Water-swellable packer is equipped from above with an automatic catch.
