SUBSTANCE: control valve has a housing having an inlet and an outlet, a valve seat between the inlet opening and the outlet, a valve plunger and cage (100) adjacent to the valve seat to allow the travel of the valve plunger. Valve plunger is movable between the closed position, in which the valve plunger tightly comes into contact with the valve seat, and the open position, in which the valve plunger is located at the distance from the valve seat. Cage has cylindrical wall (102) having inner (108) and outer (110) surfaces, and multiple channels (114) formed in the wall.
EFFECT: each channel can have a first portion extending from the inner surface and a second portion extending from the outer surface, wherein the second portion has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the first portion; and wherein each channel can follow a non-linear trajectory from the inner to the outer surface, and/or can have a cross-sectional area which varies in the direction from the inner to the outer surface.
