FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: fluid flow control device comprises a valve body including an inlet, an outlet and a valve port disposed between the inlet and outlet and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism is connected to the valve body to regulate the fluid flow from the inlet to the outlet through the valve port and is provided with a plate assembly and a membrane operatively connected with the plate assembly. The plate assembly is disposed in the valve body and is displaceable relative to the valve port in accordance with pressure changes sensed by the membrane. The plate assembly comprises a plate element, a plate holder, an outlet, a side channel and an annular groove formed in the plate holder. The discharge opening is formed in the first side of the plate holder along the central axis of the assembly. The annular groove is formed in the first side of the plate holder and is coaxial with the discharge opening to accommodate a portion of the ring plate element. The side channel is formed in the plate holder and provides communication between the discharge opening and the annular groove, so that during usage, the pumped fluid which is accumulated in the annular groove between the plate element and the plate holder can be discharged through the discharge opening through the side channel.
EFFECT: reduction of wear and abrasion of the plate assembly.
