FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to satellite communication systems and can be used for two-way communication between ground stations and satellite on-board systems, as well as for communication between satellites. Result is achieved by gas lasers based on carbon monoxide CO using optical system of conical lens-axicon, as well as reduction in 2…4 times of aperture and weight and overall parameters of radiation receivers. Broadband communication between ground stations and satellite on-board systems is carried out using gas lasers based on CO carbon monoxide. To reduce the beam divergence into the optical circuit, conical lens-axioms are added, converting the Gaussian beam into a Bessel distribution with a pronounced maximum, which is essential when transmitting the signal over long distances.
EFFECT: technical result consists in realizing ultra-wideband optical satellite communication in microwave frequency range of electromagnetic radiation.
