SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building. Method of assembling half ring gears includes stage of alignment of teeth of said half ring gears, according to which rod is used for angular positioning, to be placed in corresponding holes of half ring gears, holes are drilled on the first half ring gear so, that the first hole has the first cross-section smaller than its final cross-section, angles between teeth of two half ring gears are compared, and a comparison is made on the divergence between the specified angles of half ring gears. Then, the first hole is repeatedly reamed to the final cross-section with angular displacement of the center of the said hole by the value of angular divergence, the rod is inserted into the holes and then the half ring gears are assembled with the help of interference fit.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of ring gears for epicyclic reduction gear.
