FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to cardiosurgery. Right-ventricular cavity is introduced with a light source - a transilluminator with a local illumination level of 12,000–12,500 Lq, which adjoins the interventricular septum. That is followed by the layer-by-layer excision of the myocardium of the interventricular septum to visualize the glow of the transilluminator through the interventricular septum of the required residual thickness.

EFFECT: method enables providing high-accuracy required residual thickness of the septum in any of its areas and preventing its excessive thinning, and insufficient excision of the myocardium, and also enables avoiding postoperative complications.
