SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless data transmission. Method includes receiving, by user equipment, a configuration message from a network node, wherein the configuration message instructs the user equipment the uplink transmission configuration for the uplink grant if there is no uplink data; and determining whether user equipment is requesting uplink control information transmission for a subframe with an uplink grant.
EFFECT: reduced data transmission delay and power saving of communication network nodes.
