FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in wireless communication systems. Method comprises steps of: determining that uplink control information (UCI) and payload data will be sent via physical uplink shared channel in transmission slot/sub-layer; determining the encoding scheme (MCS) offset and modulation for UCI transmission through a physical uplink shared channel; and sending MCS offset to wireless communication device. In another embodiment, the method comprises steps of: determining that UCI and payload data will be sent through a physical uplink shared channel in a transmission slot/sub-layer; receiving an MCS offset for transmitting the UCI through the physical uplink shared channel and reporting the UCI to the network node, using MCS offset. UCI and payload data can be sent via a physical uplink shared channel in a slot/transmission sublayer or in a short transmission time interval (sTTI).

EFFECT: technical result consists in improved transmission capacity.
