FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of workpiece with homogeneous fine-grained structure. Multiple direct extrusion and settling of the workpiece is performed with preservation of its initial shape and dimensions after each cycle of deformation. In each subsequent cycle direction of extrusion is changed to the opposite one. First, part of the workpiece is extruded through the working belt of the die, after which extrusion is stopped and the extruded part of the workpiece is deflected. After a number of cycles of direct extrusion with settling back extrusion of half of the collected volume of the workpiece is performed to obtain a shape of the workpiece in the form of a cup. Then the barrel walls are deposited to obtain the pre-extrusion configuration. Compression molding is carried out on press containing containers with die arranged between it, left and right main cylinders, left and right auxiliary cylinders, left and right main and auxiliary puncheons.

EFFECT: higher strength characteristics of large-size metal workpiece.
