FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of steels with standardized content of sulfur. Proposed method comprises discharging metal into ladle with slag cut-off, adding refiner slag mixture, out-of-furnace treatment of liquid steel deoxidized with aluminum and desulphurised till sulfur content is not more than 0.025 % of calcium-containing flux cored wire introduced in two stages before and after evacuation. Refining slag mixture with content of 60–80 % Al2O3 is introduced in amount of 2–20 % of weight given at lime discharge, in process of desulphuration to slag material is added with content of 50–100 % SiO2 in amount of 5–30 % of weight given at lime discharge. When treating with calcium-containing wire at first stage 50–80 % of calcium is added from total amount required for steel modification, at the second stage – remaining 20–50 % of calcium. Additive with SiO2 50–100 % content is started at content of sulfur exceeding lower limit of brand content by 0.015–0.025 %, and is completed at sulfur content exceeding this limit by 0.005–0.010 %.
EFFECT: invention improves castability of steel, increases quality of steel and continuous-cast workpiece from steel with standardized content of sulfur, reduces consumption of sulfur-containing flux cored wire.
