FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely the production of continuously cast billets from corrosion-resistant steel alloyed with titanium. Smelting is carried out in a steel-smelting unit, out-of-furnace processing, alloying with titanium, evacuation, and continuous casting of steel at a CCM. Titanium is introduced into liquid steel before the operation of degassing with a mass of slag in the ladle in the range of 1-7 kg/t of steel based on obtaining a titanium content in the range of (5-8)*C, where C is the actual carbon content, degassing is carried out at a residual pressure of less than 5 mbar for 15-30 min, during the casting process, electromagnetic stirring of the metal in the mold is carried out.
EFFECT: invention improves steel castability by reducing the content of refractory non-metallic inclusions in steel based on titanium carbonitrides and oxycarbides.
