FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to membrane engineering and technology, specifically to methods of producing articles used as a proton-conducting polymer electrolyte in low-temperature hydrogen-air fuel cells. Membrane MF-4SC in H+-form is placed between chambers of two-chamber cell, one of which is filled with water-ethylene glycol solution of 0.0025–0.005 M of hexachloroplatinic acid (H2PtCl6) with content of ethylene glycol (hereinafter EG) of 25–50 % by volume, another one – with aqueous solution of 0.05 M sodium borohydride (NaBH4) with addition of 0.5 M sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Solutions are continuously mixed for 60 minutes. As a result, a platinum layer is formed on the surface of the membrane which is in contact with the hexachloroplatinic acid solution.
EFFECT: invention reduces material consumption of the method of producing a hybrid proton-conducting membrane.
