FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: radio-frequency (RF) transmission module for a magnetic resonance imaging system comprises: RF transmitting antenna element; RF power supply with RF control device configured to generate RF excitation signal; a signal wire connected between the RF power supply and the RF transmitting antenna element, configured to supply the RF excitation signal to the RF transmitting antenna element; a local field monitoring unit configured to measure the local field strength emitted by the RF transmitting antenna element and generate a sensing coil signal which represents the measured local field strength; mixer made with possibility of frequency conversion of the signal of the receiving coil into the frequency-converted signal of the receiving coil and connected between the monitoring unit of the local field and a signal wire for transmitting a frequency-transformed signal of the sensing coil over the signal wire to the RF control device.
