SUBSTANCE: use in the field of electric engineering for limitation of equalizing currents in the contact AC network. Device for limitation of equalizing current of alternating current contact network of double-track section, with two traction substations supplied from power system networks, contains rail, bus, switches of traction substations of supply lines of contact network of even and odd paths connected to contact network at neutral inserts, and sectioning station with switches of supply lines of overhead system. Device additionally includes adjustable installation of transverse capacitance compensation and point of parallel connection of contact network, which is connected to switches of supply lines of contact network of one substation, which is in normal mode in "off" state, and is connected to contact network of each path by controlled disconnectors, and adjustable installation of transverse capacitive compensation is connected between bus and rail.
EFFECT: improving reliability of power supply system due to increase of service life of switching equipment.
